Quant hedge fund Two Sigma raised average pay to £500k in one of its London entities
Two Sigma has had an unusual few years. It was once regarded as the chillest hedge fund to work for but, after some job cuts in 2024 and a very public squabble between its co-founders, it has slightly lost its sheen. Despite this, accounts for one of its London entities suggests that the hedge fund is paying more than ever.

'Two Sigma International' released accounts for 2025 via Companies House this week. Average 'salaries and wages' at the entity were £503k ($676k), up 34% from 2024, in which it paid £377k. Its principal activity is to "provide investment management and administration services for certain hedge funds and other affiliated investment companies."
The entity reported a slight decline in headcount from 93 to 85. Those employees may not have left and instead been moved to the fund's other entity, Two Sigma Securities UK, which has yet to declare accounts. However that entity declares its principal activity as proprietary trading, and appears to be associated with Two Sigma's separate market making arm. In 2024, it had 14 employees and paid them an average of £608k.
Two Sigma is hiring in London in 2026. In March, the fund moved into a new office near Liverpool Street, occupying one floor while renovating another to make room for more. It currently has eight vacancies; this includes openings for Two Sigma Securities which is "entering an exciting growth phase."
