Sadrian revealed his new role earlier today. He was an investment officer at Rokos, where he ran the metals trading team for nearly two and a half years. He'll be a portfolio manager at Fulcrum in London.
Bloomberg reported yesterday that gold traders in banks made $500m in revenues amidst the turmoil of the first quarter alone.
Fulcrum was founded by Gavin Davies, the former chief economist of Goldman Sachs. Sadrian is one of London's most experienced metals traders and has worked on the buy-side since 2004, when he was a commodities portfolio manager at Brevan Howard.
