Accounts for 'Jump Trading International Limited' released today on the UK's Companies House. They showed that overall headcount rose by 36 to a total of 336 employees. The headcount rise was split almost evenly between the front and back office, with the latter growing slightly more. At the same time, average 'salaries and wages' per head rose to $1.07m (£809k), up from $687k the year before. It's the highest average pay recorded at Jump Trading International (excluding director pay) for the decade so far.
Jump made some senior hires last year in London. In the front office, it hired Mariano Arrieta, a former portfolio manager at both Balyasny and Millennium, who joined in August as a quant trader. In the back office, it hired Loren Puchella Fiore, who was Jane Street's Asia head of machine learning for over six years. Today, Jump has 14 openings available in London with a particular focus on high-performance computing systems.
