US jobs roundup: CSFB continues executive reshuffling
CSFB continues its string of executive promotions and reassignments. Bob Murley was named chairman of investment banking for the Americas, while Larry Hamdan was promoted to vice chairman of global mergers and acquisitions.
Hamdan was previously head of the global industrial and services group, while Murley was and will continue to be head of the CSFB Chicago office. Both Murley and Hamdan will join the bank's executive board.
A number of people have been hired by or reassigned to Datascope, Reuters' back office data operation, in the past few weeks. They include Tim Rice, who was previously vice president of fixed income at Moneyline Telerate. Rice will join Datascope as development manager.
Jay Ryan, a former managing director and assistant controller at Goldman Sachs, was appointed chief financial officer at Cantor Fitzgerald's electronic bond exchange, ESpeed, to replace outgoing CFO Jeffrey Chertoff. Chertoff's departure marks the third senior management change at ESpeed in the last few weeks.
NumeriX promoted Steven O'Hanlon, who was previously head of global sales, to chief operating officer.
Barclays Capital intends to go on a global hiring spree over the next three years, according to headhunters. Many of the up to 3,000 extra staff could be based in the US, including high-yield bond market and energy trading specialists.
