A nationally recognized client is seeking a General Liability Associate Attorney to join its growing Las Vegas office. Position Overview

The ideal candidate will be a driven litigator with experience managing defense litigation matters from inception through resolution. This role offers significant hands-on litigation experience, including depositions, court appearances, motion practice, client interaction, and case strategy development.

Attorneys in this practice work closely with experienced partners and colleagues while maintaining a high level of autonomy in managing their caseloads.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently manage a litigation caseload from initial investigation through trial preparation and resolution.
• Handle matters involving general liability, premises liability, trucking, transportation, and related defense litigation.
• Conduct and defend depositions, attend hearings, and make regular court appearances.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and other litigation documents.
• Develop case strategies and assessments to achieve favorable client outcomes.
• Communicate regularly with clients regarding case developments, litigation strategy, and status updates.
• Collaborate with partners and attorneys across practice groups on complex legal matters.
• Ensure compliance with client guidelines, court rules, and litigation deadlines.
• Participate in settlement negotiations, mediations, and alternative dispute resolution proceedings as appropriate.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Active admission to practice in Nevada.
• Minimum of 3 years of litigation experience.
• Experience handling general liability, premises liability, trucking, transportation, or related defense matters.
• Strong deposition and courtroom experience preferred.
• Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Superior written and verbal communication abilities.
• Strong organizational and case management skills.
• Experience managing multiple matters and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Legal project management experience is a plus.
