Job description
My client is the insurance brokerage firm of one leading Chinese Financial Institution.
Job Description
Responsible for end-to-end operational management of policies at a Hong Kong insurance brokerage firm, covering core areas such as new business processing, policy servicing, contract and license management, and data operations. Ensures efficient and compliant policy services to support the company's steady business development.
Key Responsibilities
1. New Business Operations
i. Review and manage new policy application documents (including both insurer and brokerage firm documents);
ii. Liaise with insurance companies to submit and input new policies, track approval progress, and handle underwriting queries;
iii. Coordinate medical examination appointments for clients to ensure a smooth application process.
2. Policy Servicing
i. Process policy amendments (e.g., beneficiary changes, payment method adjustments), follow up on premium payments, and manage renewal reminders;
ii. Consolidate and maintain guidelines for various policy services (e.g., claims, surrender procedures), and address inquiries from clients and sales teams.
3. Contract and License Management
i. Manage licensed/referral partnership agreements, and handle procedures for onboarding/offboarding of licensed personnel;
ii. Record annual Continuing Professional Development (CPD) hours for licensed personnel and submit regular reports to the Insurance Authority (IA) of Hong Kong.
4. Data Operations
i. Maintain accurate data records for new business, operational metrics, and upstream/downstream settlement data;
ii. Support updates to business systems and collaborate with sales teams to ensure data synchronization and analysis.
Requirements
i. 3+ years of experience in operations or a related role within the Hong Kong insurance industry;
ii. Holder of a Hong Kong insurance brokerage license (preferred) or relevant financial practitioner qualification;
iii. Understanding of compliance requirements for policy operations set by the Insurance Authority (IA) (e.g., AML anti-money laundering procedures)
