We partnered with a growth venture capital firm that is seeking aSenior Accountant to join its Management Company Accounting team on a contract-to-hire basis. This is an opportunity to work closely with a small, high-performing finance team supporting a well-established investment platform with a global portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

1. Support the monthly close process, including account reconciliations, management reporting, quarterly reporting, and US GAAP financial reporting for the Management Company and its wholly owned subsidiaries
2. Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data, including journal entries, cash booking, and general ledger maintenance
3. Streamline finance operations and accounts payable workflows, including invoice processing, expense reimbursements, vendor payments, and payables reconciliation
4. Oversee treasury management activities, including cash reconciliations and daily cash reporting
5. Prepare standard and non-standard recurring month-end journal entries, including fixed assets, depreciation, amortization, prepaid expensing, deferred revenue, and payroll/operating accruals
6. Review and monitor internal controls
7. Support implementation of new technology to improve efficiency of the monthly close

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
2. CPA certification preferred
3. 6–8+ years of progressive accounting experience
4. Strong technical accounting skills with a solid understanding of US GAAP
5. NetSuite experience required
6. Finance operations/accounts payable experience a plus
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to collaborate effectively across departments and remotely
8. Proven track record of meeting deadlines and delivering accurate financial information
9. Experience leveraging AI and technology to automate workflows and processes
