The Vendor Onboarding Specialist I - Temporary Housing supports the development, execution, and ongoing operations of the Temporary Housing program within Contractor Connection. This role is responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of housing providers, including sourcing, onboarding, compliance validation, activation, and ongoing maintenance. The role acts as a key point of coordination between internal teams, housing providers, and program stakeholders, while maintaining a strong focus on speed, quality, control, and program scalability.
Responsibilities
- Identifies, sources, and engages prospective housing providers through outreach, referrals, and market research aligned with program needs
- Presents program requirements, expectations, and participation standards to prospective providers
- Manages the onboarding lifecycle, including application processing, documentation collection, and provider readiness
- Performs compliance review of housing providers by verifying required documentation and analyzing applications to assess completeness, readiness, risks, and appropriate next steps prior to audit
- Tracks onboarding pipelines and activation timelines to ensure timely progression and alignment with program demand and service expectations
- Maintains accurate provider records, contracts, and documentation across systems, ensuring data integrity and timely progression
- Supports ongoing provider maintenance, including compliance re-verification, documentation updates, and removal of non-compliant providers
- Monitors provider adherence to program standards; identifies trends, gaps, and risks, and escalates as needed
- Serves as a liaison between internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and clear communication
- Participates in special projects, cross-functional initiatives, continuous improvement efforts, and performs duties in other areas as requested.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of two years of related experience is required.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and web-based systems
- Experience with recruiting, onboarding, vendor management, or program coordination preferred
- Strong organizational and documentation management skills in a compliance-driven environment
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to review and validate documentation for accuracy and completeness
- Strong time management and ability to manage multiple workflows simultaneously
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage both internal stakeholders and external partners
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaboratively within a team
- Adaptability to evolving processes and new program development
