Head of FP& A - Private Equity / Family Office

> Boston Area - Hybrid - mostly on site, so one needs to live commutable to Boston.

> $200-230K base + bonus | Total cash expectation high $200s-low $300s

The Opportunity

A diverse Boston-area PE / family office is seeking an FP& A leader to serve as a trusted financial partner at the highest level of the organization. This is not a traditional FP& A role - it offers direct, regular visibility with senior leadership and the opportunity to own financial models end-to-end while providing the narrative and strategic context behind the numbers.

The family office is dynamic, fast-moving, and deeply engaged - think lots of variety, meaningful projects, and real upside for the right person.

What You'll Do

• Own financial models and translate outputs into clear, compelling narratives for senior leadership
• Partner directly with leadership teams on strategic financial analysis and decision support
• Drive FP& A processes across a diverse and active investment portfolio
• Lead project management and analytical initiatives across the family office
• Bring structure and rigor to financial planning in a high-visibility, entrepreneurial environment

Requirements

What We Are Looking For

• 8+ years in Corporate FP& A or Management Consulting — strong preference for candidates from one of these two backgrounds
• Solid "working manager" — hands-on ownership of models, not just oversight
• Advanced Excel, PowerBI, and AI tool proficiency
• Someone equally comfortable building the model and presenting the story
• High EQ, executive presence, and the ability to operate with discretion in a family office setting
