US/UK Tax Manager

cer Financial are working alongside an accounting firm and a boutique tax consulting firm who are seeking a US/UK Tax Manager to work with them on a permanent basis.

Responsibilities will include:

1. Manage a portfolio of up to 100 clients, delegating work to junior staff and consulting Directors as required.
2. Plan and deliver assignments efficiently, ensuring completion to firm standards before Partner/Director review.
3. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of US tax legislation and firm procedures, applying technical expertise to client work.
4. Provide technical guidance to team members and resolve complex client issues.
5. Contribute to technical initiatives, including drafting guidance and supporting knowledge sharing.
6. Assist with business development activities, including client pitches and presentations.
7. Mentor and develop junior staff, monitoring performance and supporting their professional growth.
8. Review junior team members' work to ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance with firm standards.

The successful candidate will have:

1. US (Enrolled Agent / CPA) and UK tax qualifications (ATT / CTA).
2. Experienced in preparing, reviewing, and filing UK and US tax returns.
3. Demonstrated leadership through coaching and mentoring junior team members.
4. Proficient in Microsoft Office and UK/US tax software.
5. Committed to sharing knowledge and promoting best practice.
