Senior Manager, Treasury Financial Reporting, Controls and Transformation

Deloitte London, United Kingdom
Senior Manager, Treasury Financial Reporting, Controls and Transformation
Job description

Connect to your Industry

As a Senior Manager, you will lead strategic, end-to-end work that helps treasury functions strengthen financial reporting, modernise controls and prepare for new operating models, technologies and AI. You will combine treasury expertise, commercial leadership and delivery discipline to solve complex challenges for a diverse portfolio of corporate clients.

You will shape and grow three connected service areas: treasury financial reporting and advisory, including management reporting, treasury accounting policies, covenant compliance and information provided to external auditors; governance, processes and controls assurance, including ICFR, SOX, internal audit, IPO readiness and controls transformation; and targeted treasury accounting and reporting support, including hedge accounting, complex transactions and senior client secondments.

Connect to your career at Deloitte

Deloitte drives progress. Using our vast range of expertise, we help our clients' become leaders wherever they choose to compete. To do this, we invest in outstanding people. We build teams of future thinkers, with diverse talents and backgrounds, and empower them all to reach for and achieve more.

What brings us all together at Deloitte? It's how we approach the thousands of decisions we make every day. How we behave, our beliefs and our attitudes. In other words: our values. Whatever we do, wherever we are in the world, we lead the way , serve with integrity , take care of each other , foster inclusion , and collaborate for measurable impact . These five shared values lead every decision we make and action we take, guiding us to deliver impact how and where it matters most .

Connect to your opportunity
  • Lead a portfolio of complex non-audit treasury engagements, with accountability for scope, quality, economics, risk and client outcomes.
  • Advise senior treasury and finance stakeholders on management reporting, treasury accounting policies, covenant compliance and information provided to external auditors.
  • Shape ICFR, SOX, internal audit, IPO readiness and controls transformation programmes, connecting treasury requirements to wider finance and enterprise change.
  • Direct transformation and target operating model programmes across debt, financial risk, bank account management, cash and liquidity, treasury technology and reporting from an Assurance perspective.
  • Oversee targeted financial reporting support, including hedge accounting, complex transaction analysis and senior client secondments.
  • Bring together specialists across technical accounting, valuations, technology, data, controls and transformation to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Lead major proposals and develop market-relevant propositions and thought leadership.
  • Build enduring relationships with senior clients and position the team as a trusted advisor through change.
  • Lead and develop managers and specialists, creating a strong talent pipeline and an inclusive, high-performance culture.
  • Help clients define AI ambition and readiness across the treasury taxonomy, prioritise use cases, establish governance and assess implementation and evolution over time.

Connect to your skills and professional experience

You will operate at the intersection of treasury, finance, controls, technology and strategic change. Your portfolio may span reporting and policy enhancement, ICFR or SOX programmes, IPO readiness, internal audit, transformation, hedge accounting and senior secondments. You will engage with treasurers, CFOs, controllers and transformation leaders, lead multidisciplinary teams and build a market profile around practical, future-ready treasury solutions.

Essentials
  • Substantial experience in treasury financial reporting, controls or transformation, including strong knowledge of ICFR and/or SOX.
  • Broad understanding across treasury processes such as debt, financial risk, banking, liquidity, treasury systems and reporting.
  • Experience leading work on treasury management information, accounting policies, external-audit information flows or control frameworks.
  • A track record gained in consulting, assurance, audit or a senior industry treasury, controls or finance role.
  • Proven leadership of complex engagements or programmes, including commercial management and executive-level communication.
  • Evidence of developing trusted client relationships, leading business development and growing services or accounts.
  • A forward-looking perspective on treasury technology and AI, with the ability to turn ideas into governed, practical change.
  • Technical accounting, hedge accounting or valuation knowledge is advantageous but not essential.
  • An accounting, treasury, audit or finance qualification is welcomed but is not essential where equivalent experience is demonstrated.

You will have the scope to shape client strategy, lead delivery and build the market-not simply advise from the sidelines. The breadth of work offers constant variety, while the leadership remit gives you a direct role in developing talent, propositions, quality and culture.

Connect to your business - Audit & Assurance

We know it's not just about the numbers. Often, we let the technology take care of those. It's about the creative and collective thinking or our people. That's where the true insight is found. We're redefining the future of audit. Come join us.

Assurance

Businesses need to be resilient and transparent in their reporting to build trust and confidence. Assurance practitioners play a key role in achieving this through independent review and challenge of management's views on a range of regulatory and reporting requirements, whether financial, operational or compliance in nature.

Personal independence

Regulation and controls are standard practice in our industry and Deloitte is no exception. These controls provide important legal protection for both you and the firm. We are subject to a number of audit regulations, one of which requires that certain colleagues abide by specific personal independence constraints (e.g., in relation to any financial interests and employment relationships). This can mean that you and your "Immediate Family Members" are not permitted to hold certain financial interests (shares, funds, bonds etc.) with audit clients of the firm, and also prohibitions on certain employment relationships (e.g., you are not permitted to hold a secondary employment role with SEC audit clients of the firm whilst being employed by the firm). The recruitment team will provide further detail as you progress through the recruitment process or you can contact the Independence team upon request.

Connect with your colleagues

"The team is very supportive of flexible hours and hybrid working, which makes my life as a working parent a lot easier. I can plan my day and meetings around the time that I need to be attentive to my children. I really appreciate how inclusive and respectful everyone is to different personal circumstances." - Alva, Audit & Assurance

Please check with your recruiter for the specific working requirements that may apply for your role.

Our commitment to you

Making an impact is more than just what we do: it's why we're here. So we work hard to create an environment where you can experience a purpose you believe in, the freedom to be you, and the capacity to go further than ever before.
