A leading international investment bank is seeking a Associate to join its Paper & Packaging M&A team in London. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong M&A professional to join a specialist sector team with a strong European franchise and consistent deal flow across strategic and private equity-backed transactions.
The Role
Candidate Profile
- Support the execution of sell-side, buy-side, and strategic advisory mandates across the Paper & Packaging sector.
- Build and review financial models, valuation analyses, marketing materials, and client presentations.
- Coordinate due diligence processes and manage multiple transaction workstreams.
- Work closely with senior bankers and clients throughout the deal lifecycle.
- Gain exposure to cross-border transactions involving strategic acquirers and financial sponsors across Europe.
- Contribute to sector research and business development initiatives.
Candidate Profile
- 2-5 years of M&A experience within an investment bank, corporate finance advisory firm, or Big 4 M&A team.
- Strong transaction execution experience with demonstrable involvement on live M&A deals.
- Excellent financial modelling, valuation, and analytical skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, execution-driven environment.
- Fluent in English, with an additional European language highly desirable.
- Strong academic background and attention to detail.
