Abot the Role



At St. James's Place, or Grop Prodcts Division plays a critical role in designing and overseeing the prodcts and services we offer to clients. We ensre they remain competitively priced, spport sstainable bsiness growth, and most importantly deliver positive, fair client otcomes.



We're now looking for a gradate-level Actarial Analyst to join the team. This is an excellent opportnity to begin yor actarial career in a spportive and collaborative environment, gaining exposre to a wide range of prodcts and stakeholders while stdying towards yor professional qalifications.

What Yo'll Be Doing



Yo'll work closely with colleages across the division and wider bsiness, contribting to both day-to-day activity and longer-term projects. Yor responsibilities will inclde:

Assisting with the development, testing, and maintenance of advice tools and prodct illstrations.

Providing actarial and technical spport to stakeholders across the SJP Grop, inclding or Partnership (financial advisers).

Spporting calclations sch as Capital Gains Tax and Critical Yield analysis, as well as prodct fnctionality qeries.

Working alongside Actarial Managers, Consltants and Leads on projects and workstreams.

Helping to maintain prodct docmentation and tools to robst adit standards.

Bilding effective relationships with teams across the bsiness and third parties.

Prodcing analysis and insights to spport informed bsiness decision-making.

Essential Criteria:



We're looking for someone with strong analytical capability, a collaborative mindset, and a genine interest in bilding a career in actarial work.

Yo'll have a degree in a nmerate or analytical sbject (e.g. Maths, Economics, Engineering, Physics, Actarial Science), ideally a :1 or above.

A clear commitment to stdying towards the IFoA actarial qalification, with the motivation and discipline to scceed.

Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to nderstand complex isses and develop practical soltions.

Good organisational skills, with the ability to manage and prioritise competing demands.

Confident commnication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams.

A collaborative approach and willingness to learn from others.

Some coding knowledge (e.g. R, VBA) wold be advantageos bt is not essential.
