ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP PROGRAM:
We offer paid, full-time summer internships for many majors, with fulfilling work and opportunities to grow. To help launch your career, we provide dedicated staff mentors. Youll also learn from senior leaders and industry experts. As part of the Federal Reserve System, youll be connected to a professional network that spans the nation. You will begin in early June 2021 and will be based in the Houston office.

ABOUT YOUR TEAM:
The Houston Branch Communications and Outreach (C&O) department builds relationships within communities across the Eleventh District. Engages with stakeholders to learn about and discuss economic challenges and opportunities in the communities we serve and increase awareness of the mission of the Federal Reserve. We also identify economic challenges and opportunities in the communities we serve and gather information to support policymaking and strategic planning.
WHAT YOULL DO:
Support the development and execution of strategic programs for the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas.
Assist in identifying and pursuing local industry and professional and community opportunities to profile and share Federal Reserve resources.
Monitor trends in key sectors such as financial services, hi-tech, tourism, and retail, real estate, healthcare, among others.
Develop business summaries and reports.
Assist in the planning, organizing and execution of small and large-scale meetings and events.
WHAT YOU BRING:
Undergraduate entering their Junior or Senior year, Bachelors degree in business, communications, public relations, public affairs, community relations or related discipline
Previous experience with Salesforce is a plus
Superb written and verbal communication skills; able to work in a team environment; excellent analytical skills
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Equivalent education and/or experience may be substituted for any of the above requirement

Monday Friday, 8:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m. (40 hours/ week). Some additional hours may be required
