We are seeking an experienced Interim Finance Controller to support one of our CFOs on a temporary basis. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in month-end close processes, management and financial reporting, and will be proficient in using Sage 200. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled finance professional to contribute to a dynamic team and ensure the smooth operation of financial activities during a crucial period.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the month-end close process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting..
• Prepare and present monthly management accounts, financial statements, and variance analyses to the CFO and senior management..
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring all accounts are accurately maintained and discrepancies are resolved promptly.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing detailed financial analysis and insights..
• Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and addressing auditor inquiries.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial operations.
• Work collaboratively with the finance team to ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures, and provide support and guidance as needed.
• Undertake additional tasks and projects as assigned by the CFO to support the business's financial objectives..

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Finance Controller or similar role, with a strong focus on month-end close and financial reporting
• Proficiency in using Sage 200 is essential.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly and concisely
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA) preferred but not mandatory.
