Excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual to join a leading provider of independent governance and transaction services (Corporate Trust, Pension and Corporate Services). The successful candidate will join an established Corporate Trust team and will be responsible for managing client onboarding activities and post-issue matters, as well as assisting with revenue generation through the effective marketing of Corporate Trust services.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing all aspects of transactions, from securing new deals through to closing and throughout their life. 

Day-to-day duties include:

  • acting as one of the Company’s points of entry for new business enquiries (by telephone and email)
  • contributing to decisions as to whether to take on new business
  • working up fee proposals
  • KYC checks and on-boarding duties
  • involvement in fee discussions, new business document review, negotiation and execution (including acting as an Authorised Signatory)
  • liaising with external counsel and other advisers
  • related administration tasks and invoicing
  • working on full range of post-issue matters, including amendments, waivers, restructurings and defaults
  • supervising junior members of the team if required
  • ensuring time is recorded accurately and billed promptly
  • liaising with trust management, trust support and trust admin to support the handover and on-going requirements of closed transactions
  • Contributing fully to developing this part of the business and ensuring administration processes are efficient and effective, including thorough record-keeping and provision for client access.
  • Liaising with business heads, subject matter experts, central functions and third parties.
  • Working alongside Corporate Trust Directors, Marketing team and other business units to drive new business generation and brand promotion. 
  • Proactively marketing Company services to new/existing clients and other referrers of business with a view to generating new business and additional revenue. 
  • Developing and maintaining excellent relationships with lawyers, issuers, arrangers, originators, lenders, professional advisers and other providers of new business referrals.  Meeting with those contacts on a regular basis and promoting awareness of Company services to enhance brand reputation and attract new business.
  • Thinking innovatively to recommend new lines of business and solve for the right client outcome.  Identifying business opportunities for other areas of the business, as appropriate.
  • Undertaking training and development as appropriate and engaging fully in the performance management process.
  • Attending meetings as required.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory rules.
  • Ad-hoc tasks.

Skills/Experience:

  • Previous experience of working with Corporate Trusts
  • Experience of managing a suite of third party/supplier/partner relationships
  • Experience of business development, with demonstrable results
  • Law degree and/or legal background beneficial
  • Excellent relationship-building ability
  • Strong communication skills
