This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with around 1-2 years' experience in investment management or investment banking client relations or sales (or sales support) to join a global investment manager in their London office.

We would like to hear from individuals with strong academic backgrounds and some experience (1-2 years post university would be ideal, perhaps coming from a graduate programme for example) in client relationship management or sales, gained from working with a leading asset manager. Alternatively we would also be open to individuals coming from a sell-side sales background and who would like to move into asset management. This will be to join an expanding team that covers UK and Ireland Financial Intermediary clients, including the wealth management arm of global banks and large wealth management platforms.

This multi-billion dollar business manages a range of equity and fixed income strategies and is in the process of expanding operations within the UK and wider Europe. The role would be ideal for someone looking to develop their experience and skills within sales to the institutional market. Over the longer term, for a suitably talented individual, there will be the opportunity to take on client ownership.

You will:

  • Generate new business leads, including pitching to clients.
  • Map the potential investor landscape across global banks, wealth managers and platforms.
  • Discuss cross-selling opportunities with existing investors.
  • Assist with preparation for client pitches, including working with RFP and presentations teams internally.
  • Ensure that clients receive a first class service.
  • Project manage specific initiatives to generate interest in new fund launches.

It is essential that you can demonstrate:

  • The ability to communicate with stakeholders of all levels.
  • Understand how the UK and Ireland intermediary market "works"
  • Some previous experience of building relationships within the investment management industry.
  • Knowledge of equity and/or fixed income asset classes.
  • Excellent project management and rapport building skills.

We are looking for individuals who are able to demonstrate a flair for building relationships and are genuinely interested in working in investment management.

To be considered for this role it is essential that you have had relevant experience and are already based in the UK.
