Our client is a privately owned real estate investment manager. They are seeking an Analyst to join a dynamic and well-capitalised team that is tasked with the expansion and maintenance of its diverse real estate investment platform.
The successful candidate will play a central role in every financial aspect of their European real estate investment activity - with a primary focus on industrial real estate in the UK and mainland Europe.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The pursuit of, and investment in, value-add and opportunistic investments across the capital structure
- Preparation of sophisticated financial models to facilitate investment decisions, including those related to developments, acquisitions, leasing, and disposals
- Analysis of complex partnership and joint venture structures
- Review of potential tenant financials and lease documents
- Preparation of internal and external investment memoranda and other presentation materials
- Communication with senior management regarding the status of existing and prospective investment
YOUR PROFILE:
- Sincere interest in and understanding of real estate investing
- Aptitude for quantitative analysis, with a focus on financial modeling
- High-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel; ARGUS competence preferred
- Strong written, verbal and presentation skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills
- Undergraduate degree from a highly ranked university, with a strong academic track record
- Natural flair for mathematics and problem solving, together with sound knowledge of analytical techniques and associated IT tools - particularly Microsoft Excel
- Demonstrable experience of applying modelling techniques to financial issues, including the development of appropriate models from scratch
- A team-player with well developed interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral, supported by the confidence to liaise with people at all levels of the corporate structure
- Genuine commercial awareness, with the ability to appreciate the business issues relating to the project in question
- Experience in real estate, investment banking, investment management, or another related field (recent graduates with a degree in finance, accounting, real estate, engineering, and other quantitative disciplines may be considered)
