In the US Casualty market, deep technical knowledge is a rare commodity. If you have spent the last 5+ years mastering complex US jurisdictions, navigating high-value exposures, and acting as the go-to technical referral point for your peers, you are likely ready for the next step. You don't need a formal manager title to join us; you just need the technical pedigree, a natural ability to coordinate workloads, and the ambition to formally lead and develop a high-performing team.

What you will do:

• Managing Technical Team including Performance Review, goal setting etc
• Recruitment of new employees - interviews, interview feedback, offer process, onboarding etc
• Production of slips and endorsements
• Checking processing transactions and transmission of processing documentation
• Technical Account Allocation
• Completing quarterly File Reviews, including completing the actual review, reviewing QA final check including appeal items, communicating team score, sending review summary to account team, following up on Action Points
• Handling, reviewing and processing bdx for Binders and Lineslips (Alive, Axis / Magnes, MIC etc)
• Ensuring Middle Office processes and procedures are followed across the team
• Communicating any Whitespace enhancements and analysing impact of changes for team
• Pulling outstanding work reports (quotes, endorsements, subjectivities) and distributing to wider team
• Running CC / EOC reports to ensure we on track with agreed KPI's
• Run bad debt, outstanding premium from client / market reports so on track for payment deadlines / PPW etc
• Testing of any new systems
• Keeping e-filing system up to date for accounts worked on
• Ensuring our MRC template is compliant and up to date with any regulatory changes
• Member of internal MRC Wordings Committee so US Casualty has a voice on any future proposed amendments (have asked Lewis to join)
• Agree Whitespace, internal review sign offs access for team / new members
• Created BOR tracker so we follow agreed internal processes for mid-term transfers
• Working closely with MD / Team Leads on annual / monthly budgets
• Built good rapport / relationship with Offshore Processing team and run weekly meeting with the team to go through outstanding work
• Attendance of client meetings where applicable
• Managing KYC refresh process for team (monthly report) so accounts are up to date ready for processing
• Working with Bermuda processing to ensure we are aligned on brokerage allocations

What you will bring:

• Excellent technical US Casualty knowledge including understanding of various types of wordings
• Good communication skills
• Data analysis abilities and reporting
• Managing the end to end operational technical process from slip preparation; invoicing; bdx management; premium collection; outstanding monies
• Ability to work to deadlines
• Ability to manage and co-ordinate individuals
• Can build relationships across broking; operations and compliance teams
• Act as the team's technical expert for complex risks and processing issues
• Provide advice, training and guidance to others in the team
• Experience with system testing, upgrades, process improvement would be helpful with the new system coming in soon
