Financial Strategy Analyst

ComplyAdvantage London, United Kingdom
Financial Strategy Analyst
ComplyAdvantage provides an AI platform that helps thousands of businesses worldwide detect and prevent money laundering, payment fraud, and other financial crimes - stopping criminal funds from moving through the financial system.

Our Financial Strategy team sits at the centre of how the business plans, invests, and grows, working directly with the CFO and Board. We're looking for a technically strong senior analyst to take ownership of key workstreams within it.

What you will be doing

You'll work within the Financial Strategy team to analyse business and financial performance, then turn that analysis into clear insights for senior stakeholders. Day to day, your role includes:
  • Helping to produce the annual business plan and regular forecasts.
  • Monthly reporting, and understanding variances against plan.
  • Strategic analysis that helps the business hit its targets - including working with stakeholders to build investment cases and understand cost drivers.
  • Preparing Board presentations and KPI packs.
  • Financial modelling and cash flow analysis.
  • Improving the processes and tools we use to raise the quality of our reporting and analysis.
  • Dedicated time to upskill on AI and work on AI driven projects

What we're looking for
  • You're a smart, motivated finance professional who takes pride in your work.
  • Technically strong. Strong modelling, problem-solving and financial analysis skills, with high proficiency in spreadsheet and presentation tools.
  • Experience. Two or more years in FP&A or Financial Strategy.
  • Financial statements. Strong working knowledge of the three financial statements and accounting methodology.
  • Data fluency. Comfortable extracting and combining data across multiple systems.
  • Team player. Collaborative, and works well across a small team and with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Communication. Ability to explain complex topics in a simplified way.
  • Autonomy. You contribute to workstreams with growing independence.
  • Education. A bachelor's degree or equivalent.

Nice to have
  • SaaS or technology background. Desirable, but not essential - or a track record of thriving in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
  • AI curiosity. A keen interest in AI and how to apply it in finance and analytical work.
  • Qualification. Part-qualified or actively studying (CIMA, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent).

What's in it for you
  • On-going investment into AI tooling for Finance, with space to explore and shape how the team uses it.
  • Unlimited Time Off Policy to promote work-life balance and well-being.
  • Equity participation in our innovative mission to combat financial crime.
  • We embrace a hybrid working approach. We strongly believe that this approach fosters collaboration and enables the building of meaningful relationships.
  • Opportunities for collaboration and career development with smart, like-minded professionals.
  • Annual learning budget to support professional growth.
  • A home office budget to support working from home.
  • Enhanced parental leave and childcare benefits.
  • Life insurance and medical coverage through BUPA, including pre-existing conditions.
  • Pension contribution through The People's Pension.

Our mission is to empower every business to eliminate financial crime.
