The Client ALM Manager will be part of the Client ALM function within the Client & Pensions team. The Client ALM Manager performs analysis on the pension provisions, funding, discount rates and investment strategies in order to assess the effects of potential changes. The analysis is provided to the management of Investment Business, pension committees and boards in order to support recommendations. It includes:
The Client ALM Manager collaborates closely with the Client & Pensions team, the scheme actuary, Investment Strategy and Research, Investment Risk Management, Employer Covenant and the Investment area.
The Client ALM Manager will develop an in-house ALM tool. The ALM tool is aimed at providing input to strategic recommendations at section level in relation to changes to pension provisions, investment strategy, funding and regulatory framework or management framework applied to sections.
Development of the ALM tool will require:
The ALM tool should be able to support the valuation process and be able to incorporate market forecasts and investment strategy frameworks used in the valuations.
