As part of a Scrum team involved in the development and evolution of digital solutions, the Backend Java Developer will work on-site in Lausanne.
Starting date: ASAP
Role:
Deliver new backend features and bug fixes on existing applications
Design, develop and maintain backend services using Java and/or Kotlin
Develop and maintain RESTful web services and APIs
Contribute to microservices-based applications and system integration topics
Apply software engineering best practices: testing, documentation, code review, maintainability and secure coding
Participate in Agile / Scrum ceremonies and contribute to the software development lifecycle
Collaborate with frontend developers, DevOps engineers, product owners and other stakeholders
Contribute to deployment and containerized environments when required
Profile:
BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field
5-15years of experience in backend development with Java
Experience with Kotlin is a strong plus
Solid experience with Spring Framework and Spring Boot
Good knowledge of RESTful web services and API integration
Experience with microservices architecture
Experience with databases and SQL
Skilled in automated testing and code review practices
Familiar with Linux, Git and CI/CD environments
Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
Knowledge of Helm and OpenShift is a strong plus
Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments
Independent, curious, trustworthy and result-oriented
Strong team player, comfortable in multicultural environments
Fluent in English; French is a plus
