Job responsibilities
- Responsible for setting the AML strategy and implement program for the business lines across Guotai Group in Singapore and drive, manage and coordinate end to end developments, process and controls
- Establish, implement and provide oversight AML-CFT policies, procedures, systems and controls including reviewing and updating as appropriate based on MAS and Group requirements
- Is the subject matter expert to provide business guidance and advisory on policy requirements and implements controls to ensure alignment with local and head office requirements
- Support all business activities on account on-boarding, periodic reviews, transaction monitoring, risk assessment, senior management reporting and escalation, compliance testing and training
- Maintain oversight on regulatory awareness of industry trends on regulatory compliance, emerging threats and take appropriate steps to mitigate the risks
Job Requirements
- Minimum 8 -10 years' experience in AML/KYC or Compliance
- Working knowledge of wealth management business is preferred with hand-on experience and familiarity with regulatory expectations and market practices
- Ability to work in a lean environment and see beyond his/her job-scope and work with the business unit colleagues to realise business goals
- Ability to understand and interpret the impact of policy and procedural changes, as well as identify and convey potential problem areas
- Is mature and able to work under pressure and meet timelines
- Depending on the experience of the staff, the candidate may be offered a leadership role
