Our client, a leading global management consulting firm to identify an experienced Procurement Consultant for a 6-month engagement supporting an existing client program. This is a non-client-facing role, working alongside the firm's consulting delivery team to drive significant cost reduction and margin improvement for a major FMCG client. Key Responsibilities

• Lead cost and spend analysis across indirect category spend to identify opportunities for aggressive cost reduction
• Conduct category-by-category reviews to prioritise areas for savings delivery and margin improvement
• Develop and execute RFP strategies tailored to each category under review
• Review and evaluate supplier responses against commercial and technical criteria
• Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure improved pricing, terms, and value
• Work closely with the consulting team to devise and implement margin improvement initiatives across the program
• Support the existing program team in delivering measurable, large-scale cost reduction outcomes

Requirements

• 10 to 15 years of strategic procurement experience, including significant category management exposure across multiple indirect categories (both IT and non-IT)
• Demonstrated experience managing more than one indirect category, rather than a single category specialism
• Proven track record of delivering large-scale cost reduction and margin improvement projects
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple category workstreams concurrently
• Experience developing RFP strategies, evaluating supplier responses, and leading supplier negotiations
• Ability to work independently and autonomously, while collaborating effectively within a consulting team environment
