Responsibilities
- APAC point of contact to develop and implement an APAC privacy and confidentiality compliance monitoring program, with the goal of ensuring compliance with applicable APAC local regulations
- Operationalise APAC privacy regulations and implement privacy and data protection processes, controls and procedures across APAC
- Serve as point of contact for regulators across the APAC region
- Provide guidance to business and technology stakeholders in the context of changes to systems, processes and vendors that contain data
Requirements
- 10 years+ experience in control/ compliance/ advisory within data privacy space
- Sound knowledge of APAC privacy/ data protection laws particularly in Singapore, China, Japan, Hong Kong and Australia
- Aptitude of translating laws into actionable procedures and controls
