Finance Manager, Private Credit (SPV & Fund Structures)
DARMAX GLOBAL SingaporeFinance Manager, Private Credit (SPV & Fund Structures)
A leading Asia-Pacific alternative investment manager is hiring a Finance Manager in Singapore for its private credit platform. You will own the financial reporting, governance and compliance of its SPVs and investment structures, mainly Singapore, Cayman and BVI vehicles investing into India, Korea and Japan. The role reports into Hong Kong.
The accounting itself sits with external administrators, so this role is about knowing what good looks like: reviewing their work, managing the providers, and keeping every entity accurate, compliant and on time. Experience at a fund administrator or another service provider is a real advantage.
The role
- Review SPV financial statements, management accounts and supporting schedules prepared by administrators and accounting providers.
- Review the accounting for investments, shareholder loans, redeemable preference shares, intercompany balances, expenses and distributions.
- Coordinate SPV statutory audits, tax computations and statutory and regulatory filings, including India advance-tax payments and annual filings.
- Run the SPV governance framework: Singapore board meetings and resolutions, share issuances, statutory registers and shareholder records.
- Oversee SPV-level treasury across jurisdictions, and track tax, governance and filing deadlines across the portfolio.
- Manage administrators, corporate-secretarial firms, auditors, tax advisers and counsel, and tighten processes and controls where needed.
- Support new vehicle set-ups, restructurings and corporate actions.
You will need
- 7 to 12 years in private equity or private credit finance, at a fund administrator, corporate-services provider or Big 4 asset-management practice, or at an investment manager.
- Strong experience reviewing SPV and fund financial statements under IFRS or Singapore GAAP.
- A good understanding of fund and SPV structures, including master-feeder and parallel funds, shareholder loans, redeemable preference shares and investment holding companies, and of how a new vehicle is set up.
- Experience with board meetings, written resolutions, share issuances and corporate-secretarial deliverables, and familiarity with the 13O and 13U schemes.
- A recognised accounting qualification (CA, CPA or ACCA) is strongly preferred.
- Hands-on accounting experience is welcome, although the role manages providers rather than keeping the books.
- Advanced Excel; Power BI or similar tools are a plus. Excellent written and spoken English.
On offer
- The SPV finance seat on a large Asian private credit platform, with India, Korea and Japan in scope.
- A role built on judgement and control, working closely with the investment, legal, tax and treasury teams.
- A competitive package.
