Your job
As Financial Business Partner you act as the Co-Pilot of the ABF MT and its individual members. You combine Financial Expertise and market and product knowledge to challenge and advise Management to maintain a solid financial profile and improve financial performance while keeping an eye on the interest of the client. You do this by performing (historical) trend analysis on financial performance of ABF and its products in combination with market developments. You translate these analysis into clear conclusions to advise management and to set targets and projections for the near and medium term future. You coordinate (part) of the Management Control Cycle to set targets, divide budget, regularly update forecasts and monitor performance on the strategy set. You advise management on steering measures to ensure proper strategy execution and steering. In addition, you are involved in product and application development to prepare and assess business cases.

Your working environment
ABN AMRO Asset Based Finance (ABF) is a subsidiary of ABN AMRO Bank N.V. and is active in business finance, asset leasing, accounts receivable financing, stock financing and credit management. ABF is active in 5 European countries (England, Germany, France, Belgium and the Netherlands) and has the ambition to further expand its position abroad. The Business Performance Management team challenges and advises the management of ABF on strategical matters and (financial) performance management. It aims to ensure the solid and healthy financial position of Asset Based Finance while pursuing strategic goals and ambitions. The BPM team performs thorough analysis of business, market and financial information and translates this into timely, accurate and relevant management information advise.The team consists of 6-7 professionals and is part of the finance department where we attach much value to cooperation and the contribution of the team members in developing the way in which the work is carried out. The aim is to be one step better every day.

Your profile

  • Knowledge of Economics and/or Business administration at Master level
  • Knowledge of IFRS and management accounting
  • 5-10 years relevant working experience
  • Big plus: knowledge of the financial services industry, regulatory and market environment and/or leasing and factoring products
  • Personal skills to engage with business management teams independently
  • Builds and maintains mutual beneficial relationships with employees within ABF, including colleagues in the cross border entities, and ABN AMRO Bank.
  • Writing skills to formulate reports and advices.
Foreign Languages
  • English (fluent)
  • Dutch, German and/or French are a big plus
