PowerBI & SQL Developer

McCabe & Barton are working on behalf of a client with a strategically focused commercial real estate portfolio. This is an exciting opportunity to progress your skills within our client’s Business Intelligence function, which has responsibility for the development, maintenance, data strategy, data governance and data reporting of their business systems.

You will work on BI projects that include the research, design and implementation of data platforms, data pipelines, data models, reports/dashboards and data-driven applications.

You will be responsible for developing Power BI dashboards and customised reports based on business requirements. Writing optimised SQL queries against SQL Server, and designing and implementing data pipelines across multiple source and destination systems.

Responsibilities:

• Analytical thinking to translate data into informative visuals and reports
• prototyping, designing, and requirement analysis
• Understanding and implementation of accessibility standards
• Up to date knowledge of latest Power BI features and functionality, use of these to create compelling and easy-to-use MI

Skills and Experience:

• Previous experience in designing, developing and administrating reporting and MI products, ideally in MS PowerBI and SQL but Tableau and other products will also be useful
• Extensive experience of Data Visualisation and Reporting using Power BI and SSRS, setting up complex ETL processes within SSIS, involving relational and non-relational data
• Experience developing visual reports, dashboards and KPI scorecards
• Familiarity with design methodology and user-centric report / product design
• Knowledge and experience in prototyping, designing, and requirement analysis
