What is the role about? At Bitvavo we are expanding our Procurement team with an experienced Vendor Manager. As a Vendor Manager you will play a key role in overseeing and managing Bitvavo's critical and important (outsourcing) relations with external service providers while ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, specifically MiCAR and DORA. Besides collaborating with the relevant third parties, you work closely with various internal stakeholders to assess, monitor and mitigate risks associated with third party engagements.
Your primary goal is to safeguard business continuity and the integrity and reputation of Bitvavo in relation to its critical and important third party engagements. In this role you will also address, investigate and implement opportunities that you think could be of great essence for Bitvavo operations and third party management in particular. Considering the nature of our business, the majority of our critical and important third party agreements are ICT-related.
How will you make an impact? - Ensure the relevant third party agreements are optimal for the type of services provided and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Set up and monitor key controls related to third parties in scope.
- Review third-party activities and performance metrics to identify potential compliance issues or deviations from contractual obligations and mitigate the identified issues effectively.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners.
- Initiate and execute the renewal or termination decision in line with applicable exit agreements upon the expiration date.
- Provide guidance and support to internal teams on third party risk management and regulatory compliance matters.
- Prepare periodic reports and documentation to communicate the status of third party services and compliance with regulatory obligations to (senior) management and other relevant stakeholders.
- Stay informed about regulatory developments and updates, assessing their potential impact on third-party management practices and recommending appropriate actions.
How will you be successful? - You have at least 3-5 years of relevant experience in Third Party Management, Vendor Management or a similar role;
- You have experience in the (EU) financial sector, particular fintech or a regulated environment is a big plus;
- You have experience in managing ICT services and Information Security and you understand the supplier landscape;
- You are familiar with the regulation of MiCAR and DORA and understand the implications;
- You have strong analytical skills and demonstrate the ability to assess risk scenarios and develop and execute mitigation strategies;
- You are an excellent communicator, both verbal and written, with interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across various levels of the organization;
