As a Senior Risk Management Consultant, you will be in the lead of enabling leading Dutch financial institutions to take calculated risks. A boutique consultancy firm that specializes in smart risk models that create order in a complex financial world.

This ever changing – and complex financial world demands robust risk management, equally robust models which will be the key to success;

  • creating a better understanding of the underlying factors that drive relationships
  • bring transparency
  • lower costs and provide a guide for taking the right decisions

While models form the core of their services, they perceive them as a means rather than an end. Statistics are no substitute for judgment – the decision makers must understand what a model can and cannot do.

Aim: co-create, tailor a crucial and unique level of oversight and align the models with their client`s strategies.

Based in central Amsterdam on one of the oldest canals that once formed the financial heart of the city.

Team:

A team of 35 ambitious individuals with quantitative backgrounds in econometrics, mathematics and physics. Valuing social interaction (doing fun stuff together) and an informal work environment with much individual freedom.

Your profile

  • Knowledge is important, but the right ambitions even more, this in order to enable their clients to take calculated risks
  • Master’s degree in Econometrics, Actuarial Sciences, Mathematics, Physics or related studies
  • At least 5 years of work experience in the financial risk management field, of which at least 2 years in a senior or manager position
  • Extensive knowledge and interest in quantitative financial risk management
  • Coaching skills to get the best out of your colleagues
  • Be passionate about delivering tailor-made solutions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, Dutch is a plus
  • Programming skills is Pyhton, Matlab or SQL
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and ability to assess technical information and present key findings
  • Desire to perform, natural curiosity and an ability to assimilate new skills quickly
  • You want to contribute to the financial sector, you love mathematical challenges and get energy from inspiring your colleagues
  • You want to keep developing yourself and have a broad view of the world.
  • You can approach your work in a structural way where you can distinguish between primary and secondary issues and can be creative in determining the solutions.
