Product Manager - Trading

What is the role about?

The trading team at Bitvavo is responsible for our market-making activities and providing liquidity on the Bitvavo crypto exchange. As a Product Manager for the Trading team, you will have an exciting opportunity to shape and impact the future of a leading European retail investment platform, by working with one of our core teams. 

In this development and operational-focused role, you will work very closely with the following stakeholders: the Management Board, the Risk and Compliance departments, as well as the Treasury team. You will work with them to understand their needs and map them into strategies, as part of the long-term roadmap for the Trading team. Together with the team, you will build a full automated trading system. 

As a Product Manager - Trading, you can expect to take on an exciting role, where you will make significant contributions to the growth of Bitvavo, sometimes by having to wear different hats - your role could spill into Business Development, or even go as far as third-party connectivity and sometimes even some operational work. This only means you will get to know Bitvavo and the trading business inside out, and how else could you make the greatest impact possible?

How will you make an impact?

• Strategic planning and prioritizing that allows you to use the team capacity in the most impactful way
• Solving pain points and guiding the vision of our product development, the fully automated trading system
• Working closely with the quant traders and management to stay aligned with the business direction and implement all trading strategies
• Guiding the execution of the roadmap by navigating operational issues and changes and helping the team to find best solutions

How will you be successful?

• 7+ years of experience in a similar role within the financial services industry, at least 3 of which were spent in a role where you had to drive/support traders in defining strategies and trading approaches
• Some scripting knowledge (Python, JavaScript, SQL) 
• Proven track record of driving results-driven product teams in the trading domain, as well as deep knowledge of the trading landscape and its challenges
• Great communication and stakeholder engagement skills 
• The ability to make decisions based on data and insights and are able to prioritize strategically
