We're maintaining and modernizing an Oracle DB based platform for ingesting data, financial processing and reporting. We're counting on your help for designing and developing a platform able to sustain a resilient and performant way of working using modern technological stack.

How are we organized?

You will be part of one of the Chapters in IT Area Statutory & Regulatory Reporting within TECH/F&R that is primarily responsible for delivering IT services and application changes regarding financial and regulatory reporting to Group Finance and various financial authorities across the globe. The chapter has an agile mindset, a drive for continuous improvement, and eagerness to learn and adapt. Especially looking at the numerous requirements coming our way, this chapter plays a crucial role and is at the heart of ING Finance..

Who are you?

You are the Product Manager of the GFRS platform squad(s) within the IT Area Statutory and Regulatory Reporting. With your solid technical and Functional understanding of the application, you are overall responsible for the technical health of your service(s). Together with your colleagues you set the technical goals and targets and execute this strategy with your Engineers. Your main responsibility is the overall stability of the GFRS platform service.

Key Responsibilities

We have an opening for an energetic and proactive Product Manager with a true passion for IT and a positive mindset.

Together with your squad, you are responsible for the future of the delivery services:
  • Providing clarity to the team with clear goals.
  • Manage risk on the service/product you provide.
  • Manage the delivery roadmap of the product, which will require alignment with other squads, within and outside the Tribe and also with GFRS end users.
  • Take ownership of the product backlog by creating epics, features and user stories.
  • Keep the stakeholders informed on the Product Roadmap and the progress of the feature delivery and upcoming releases via stakeholder demos, newsletters, etc.
  • Improve the stability and reliability of the GFRS platform through process improvements and innovative solutions.
  • Promote a clear product vision that has the customer as the focus, while maintaining a standardized solution.
  • Together with the other Product Owners of the Area you will be in several meetings, where you will share your progress, challenges, and lessons learned.
  • Work together with our chapter leads to make sure the squad consists of the right people and is performing well.

Requirements

We understand you may not tick every box, but do not let that hold you back from applying!
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree
  • Minimum 5 years of experience, preferably in international Software Development environments with global reach
  • Minimal 3 years of relevant experience (ideally in banking environments) as a Product Manager/ Project Manager / Product Owner
  • Ability to lead in a virtual, complex agile/devops environment
  • Think in strategic priorities terms - based on professional expertise, be able to develop a long-term vision
  • Have strong analytical & judgement skills to recognize key information, identify problem, establish connections and validate before acting
  • Demonstrable track record of building and maintaining highly collaborative, flexible, and productive relationships
  • Work independently against a high internal quality standard with attention for detail
  • Mastery of the English language (written and in speech)
