Medior Regulatory Counsel

What is the role about?

As a Medior Regulatory Counsel, you will join Bitvavo towards the next phase in our growth as a regulated firm. With MiCAR on the horizon, you will have the chance to collaborate closely with the Head of Legal, gaining valuable experience in strengthening our legal framework. You will support the legal team in implementing appropriate measures and controls to ensure compliance with local and regional requirements. As part of your role, you will actively participate in the MiCAR project team, learning and contributing as you grow into an advisory capacity.

How will you make an impact?

• Being an integral part of the legal team, who are responsible for all regulatory and licensing issues relating to our business
• Assisting the Head of Legal with licensing applications and regulatory engagements with key regulators in and outside of the Netherlands
• Monitoring crypto regulatory trends and developments, and working closely with our Compliance, Financial Crime and Risk teams
• Creating, reviewing and updating regulatory/legal frameworks, including policies, procedures, manuals and compliance registers to ensure compliance with any existing or upcoming regulation

How will you be successful?

• At least 3 years of work experience, preferably gained within a reputable law firm
• Demonstrated financial regulatory knowledge and strong interest to explore the area further
• Flexible mindset and the ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Ambition, resilience and resourcefulness
• Written and verbal communication in Dutch is highly preferred
