Position Purpose

Regulatory advi sory role , within CME's Governance Risk & Compliance (GRC) Division, to the Cash Markets, Benchmarks and Data Business units. The ideal candidate will have proven regulatory technical skills with experience in European Regulation ( MiFID 2), Fixed Income and OTC derivative financial instruments and Regulatory Reporting . Responsibilities include (I) rules mapping and regulatory analysis, (ii) provision of compliance advice and support, (iii) developing and implement ing policies and procedures , and (iv) regulatory risk assessment and reporting.

Principal Accountabilities
  • Providing support to the regulatory compliance officers in the International region on obligations relating to transaction, transparency and regulatory reporting requirements
  • Supporting the regulatory compliance officers in advising on obligations relating to Benchmarks across the International Region
  • Supporting the regulatory compliance officers in providing regulatory advice to the Reset business unit across the International region
  • Supporting the regulatory officers in fulfilling their responsibilities to regulators in the APAC region
  • Supporting the regulatory compliance officers in the international region in advising internal stakeholders on the requirements relating to the trading venues
  • Review of relevant regulatory requirements, regulatory risk assessments and reporting
  • Ad hoc tasks, including regulatory requests, exams, filing, notifications and management information etc.

Skills & Software Requirements
  • Strong experience in Compliance/Regulatory law across diverse fields of knowledge.
  • Knowledge of Fixed Income, FX and OTC trading beneficial.
  • Knowledge of MiFID/MiFIR regulatory reporting
  • Knowledge of Benchmark regulation requirements
  • Broad based compliance experience, covering front office and awareness of back office, settlement and clearing systems.
  • Familiarity with FCA/PRA rules, as well as overseas regulators an advantage.
  • Very good understanding of financial markets
  • Good presence and speaking skills, able to communicate verbally and in writing at all levels, from desk to senior management.
  • Motivated self - starter, pro-active and able to multi-task in a fast moving environment.
  • Willing to accept responsibility and looking to develop role within growing department with promising growth potential.
  • Strong and resilient personality with a high sense of integrity and independence.
  • Good team player with positive attitude and self-motivation.
  • Capacity for constant creativity and innovation.
