Team

The Sydney Development teams are responsible for building the systems and tools that ensure the reliable, robust and 24/7 trading activities these companies have become synonymous with. Working closely with Traders, Quants and risk mitigation teams the Developers work across many different functions within the business all focused on the trading environment.

Culturally diverse these global teams are loosely formed around specific projects and requirements meaning you may be working on something different next week, with a new team while your previous project is in production and being monitored and optimised. This ensures you’ll never be bored, you’ll always be learning and growing as a developer.

Role

We’re looking for developers strong in modern C++ (17/20), experienced implementing & optimising algorithms and performant, extensible, multi-threaded, low latency C++ code. You will be working in a modern Linux environment so extensive experience in Linux/Unix is required.

You will need to be comfortable working in an agile environment, be able to think on your feet and manage your own time. You will be challenged to be creative, drive change and be collaborative amongst a highly motivated team. You will enjoy a good work life balance and a flexible mix of office/home work with your office time being spent in some of the most modern and feature rich environments you’re likely to experience.

The team you work alongside will ensure you continue to grow as a developer and hone your skills keeping you up to date with the latest technologies and innovations within the ever-evolving world of High Frequency Trading.

Requirements:

• Expertise in Modern and Low Latency C++ (17/20)
• Extensive experience implementing and optimising Algorithms
• Experience in Multithreaded and asynchronous programming
• Adept at working in a Unix/Linux environment
• A history of producing extensible code with good abstractions
• Previous Trading Experience is great….but not required
• Devout advocate of Solid Coding Principles
• Humble and collaborative approach to team work.
• OO Design
• Extra points for
  • Compiler or Kernel expertise
  • A background in the finance/trading world.
