Note on the scope: The specific allocation and depth of assigned topics is flexible and subject to change based on the duration, timing, and operational priorities of the internship.
Your responsibilities:
- Crypto & Digital Assets Analysis: Conduct structured research into crypto/digital assets and analyze their pros and cons as potential collateral for client business, evaluating market, liquidity, operational, and regulatory aspects.
- Collateral & Haircut Methodologies: Support the quantitative and qualitative evaluation of haircut methodologies applied to collateral accepted in reverse repo and secured financing transactions.
- Process Automation & Tech Collaboration: Support the automation of Treasury processes and reporting workflows-working autonomously on rapid scripting/tooling or in close cooperation with IT for more complex system implementations.
- Treasury Credit & Default Management: Gain practical exposure into Clearstream's credit operating model, learning how the business steers credit capacity across the lifecycle, evaluates resource consumption (credit, liquidity and collateral), and integrates default management readiness.
- Ad-hoc Analysis & Presentations: Prepare financial data analyses, management summaries, and presentation decks for internal committees and team decision-making.
Your profile:
- You are enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Finance, Economics, Financial Engineering, Business Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field (with a valid internship agreement / convention de stage), or graduated no more than 6 months ago.
- Genuine curiosity and strong interest in treasury operations, financial markets, credit/collateral risk management, and evolving digital asset ecosystems.
- Affinity for quantitative analysis, structured working methods, and attention to detail when working with complex financial concepts.
- Very good command of MS Excel. Prior experience with, or a strong willingness to learn, scripting and automation tools (e.g., Python, VBA, SQL, or workflow automation) is considered a clear advantage.
- Proactive, self-motivated approach with strong communication skills and the ability to integrate smoothly into an international, collaborative team.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English is required.
