We are looking for an inspiring Marketing Manager to join the workplace investing marketing team to support the WI Cross border business. This business comprises the International Retirement Savings Plan offering (otherwise known as an International Pension Plan IPP), currently comprising approximately 50 clients with $1B of assets, and our new Fidelity European Pension Plan (FEPP) offering which is scheduled to launch in early 2021.

Purpose of your role

We are looking for an inspiring Marketing Manager to join the workplace investing marketing team to support the WI Cross border business. This business comprises the International Retirement Savings Plan offering (otherwise known as an International Pension Plan IPP), currently comprising approximately 50 clients with $1B of assets, and our new Fidelity European Pension Plan (FEPP) offering which is scheduled to launch in early 2021.

Working closely with the WI Cross border business team, you will manage an integrated plan sponsor and member marketing strategy to support the ambitious cross border workplace investing growth plans over the next ten years.

You will be passionate about direct communication and be experienced in both business to consumer and business to business marketing.

Your role will include developing and delivering the end to end marketing strategy for our WI cross border business, defining our standard member engagement and communications collateral, developing the content to support the strategy, and measuring outcomes and satisfaction with our offering to support continuous improvement efforts. Overarching goals of the role will be to increase client and member satisfaction, drive greater member engagement and loyalty, and ensure better financial outcomes..

You will be responsible for assimilating our marketing knowledge and generating insight about our products, market, competition, clients and members to inform and enhance the marketing strategy.

You will be an ambassador for the cross border workplace investing marketing initiatives and be able to motivate and inspire the wider team of internal stakeholders and external suppliers, driving enhancements and best practice in our marketing practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • To develop and deliver a rich customer relationship marketing programme through a premium member engagement experience. Working with multi-disciplinary internal teams and external third-party specialists and agencies, you will be accountable for agreed WI Cross Border B2B, B2C and B2B2C campaigns. Across integrated media and multiple workplace investing work streams and initiatives, with a strong bias on digital and direct communication.
  • To review and enhance member engagement and communication journeys and manage the customer experience. Specifically, making sure that we deliver relevant and compelling communication through connected multi-channel journeys, across all brand touchpoints.
  • To work with the wider marketing team and business to streamline our data and technology for reporting, measuring and enhancing our communication; developing and communicating employee insight, creating aggregated dashboards,trend analysis and ensuring that communication meets data protection regulations.
  • You will play an integral role in bringing our cross border workplace investing proposition and product development initiates to market, with a focus on digitisation and new product development best practice
  • You will work alongside a global team to deliver global thought leadership initiatives and content, such as Financial Wellness, into the cross border business and experience. This will include localising content, developing customer focused messages, creating integrated marketing materials that are globally consistent and locally relevant, to bring global initiatives to market.
  • Work closely with the cross border commercial teams to develop standard sales and marketing material for prospective clients, including messaging around the product value propositions and positioning.

Experience and Qualifications

  • As an accomplished marketer we would like you to have demonstrable experience of delivering engaging cross channel marketing activity in a global, European, or multi-country context with a focus on digital and direct marketing.
  • You will be educated to degree level with strong written English. You will need to have attention to detail and excellent proof-reading skills for copy accuracy and you will need flexible editing skills for multi-media channels.
  • You will have experience working with Defined Contribution retirement plan products, and the needs, issues, expectations for global multinational corporate clients and plan members.
  • You will have the ability to prioritise multiple tasks and manage projects end to end. Be able to drive quality and excellence and make sure that projects are delivered on time, on brand and within budget. You will need to be comfortable managing different projects, sometimes with competing priorities and tight time frames.
  • You should have a good understanding of the international pension and retirement landscape, specifically in Europe and be comfortable with communicating the principles of savings, retirement, and financial wellness to an international audience that are not necessarily engaged with their retirement savings.
  • As part of your digital experience, you should be familiar with email software and CRM programmes as well as being comfortable measuring and analysing results through different media (e.g. Google, Adobe, Marketo, Salesforce)
  • You will want to make a positive impact and have strong influencing and stakeholder management skills. Your success in this role will be reliant on your ability to forge effective relationships with key stakeholders and third-party suppliers.
  • Strong language skills beyond English is a plus, with preference for continental European languages: Dutch, French or German
