Job Description
As an RO-Business Development professional, your main responsibilities will include:
1. Hong Kong & U.S. Equities Business Development
- Drive business development for Hong Kong and U.S. securities brokerage services, IPO subscription (Hong Kong IPOs), and cross-border trading advisory.
- Develop high-net-worth individual clients, institutional channels, and strategic partners.
- Execute front-end business initiatives, maintain client relationships, align business requirements, and promote financial products.
- Conduct business activities within a compliant framework, ensuring adherence to SFC regulatory requirements, and support the achievement of business targets and revenue growth.
- Lead business development and client onboarding for quantitative and algorithmic trading services.
- Coordinate with quantitative teams, trading teams, and external quantitative institutions.
- Understand quantitative strategies and client needs, and assist in onboarding quantitative accounts, parameter setup, and operational implementation.
- Promote and distribute Type 9 licensed asset management products, Hong Kong/U.S. equity private portfolios, and segregated account management services.
- Address asset allocation needs of institutional and high-net-worth clients.
- Support subscription processes, due diligence documentation, and provide end-to-end client servicing.
A successful RO-Business Development professional should have:
1. Licensing Qualifications
- Holder of valid SFC Type 1 / Type 4 / Type 9 licenses.
- Completion of HKSI Paper 1 and relevant examinations.
- Good licensing standing with no adverse records, capable of independently fulfilling SFC registration and RO responsibilities.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Hong Kong brokerage firm.
- Experience in front-office business development, client acquisition, asset management sales, or quantitative business coordination is preferred.
- Familiarity with Hong Kong brokerage business models and a proven track record in business development and client resources is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of Hong Kong and U.S. equity markets, SFC regulatory requirements, quantitative trading, and asset management business logic.
- Ability to independently develop clients, maintain channels, negotiate deals, and execute business initiatives.
- Capability to drive business growth while balancing compliance requirements and operational efficiency.
- Bachelor's degree or above, preferably in finance, economics, or related fields.
- Proficiency in Mandarin, English, and Cantonese.
- Outgoing personality, results-driven mindset, strong resilience under pressure, and excellent business development and client servicing skills.
- Existing resources in high-net-worth clients, institutional channels, quantitative firms, or private funds.
- Experience working at mainland-affiliated Hong Kong securities firms is preferred.
- Competitive annual basic salary ranging from HKD 500,000 to HKD 720,000.
