My client, a pioneering technology firm at the forefront of digital finance and decentralized infrastructure, is seeking aSenior Golang Engineer to join their growing global team. In this role, you will be instrumental in architecting and maintaining the high-performance systems that power complex blockchain ecosystems, ensuring reliability and innovation at scale.

This opportunity can be remote (Europe time zone).

What you'll do

1. Design and maintain scalable backend services, APIs, and data indexers supporting distributed ledger technology.
2. Own the full software development lifecycle from initial technical specification to production deployment and observability.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate with various blockchain protocol layers.
4. Champion engineering excellence by setting standards for API design, fault-tolerant distributed architecture, and secure coding practices.
5. Leverage advanced development workflows, including AI-assisted coding and automated tooling, to accelerate delivery and improve system quality.
6. Provide technical mentorship to team members through rigorous code reviews and architectural guidance.

The experience and skills needed

1. 7+ years of professional software engineering experience with a deep focus on backend systems.
2. Expert-level proficiency in Golang.
3. Substantial experience with distributed systems and high-throughput data pipelines.
4. Practical understanding of Ethereum blockchain infrastructure, particularly regarding node interaction and network consensus mechanisms.
5. Strong background in cloud-native technologies, including AWS, Kubernetes, and GitOps workflows.
6. Demonstrated ability to translate complex product requirements into clear, actionable technical specifications.
7. Experience thriving in remote, asynchronous work environments.
