Your new role

• Prepare and complete periodic regulatory reports, assessments, and submissions
• Follow up on matters required by the HKMA, SFC, and other regulatory authorities.
• Conduct compliance risk assessments, compliance reviews, and investigations, while assisting in the development and implementation of compliance frameworks, policies, and control standards.
• Support regulatory engagement by liaising with local regulators, coordinating responses to regulatory examinations and inspections, and ensuring timely fulfilment of regulatory reporting obligations.
• Monitor and analyse regulatory developments, providing compliance advisory support to business units and relevant stakeholders on emerging regulatory requirements.
• Review, update, and enhance compliance policies, procedures, and governance documents to align with regulatory expectations, industry best practices, and business developments.

What you'll need to succeed

• Bachelor's degree or above in Law, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 6-8 years of compliance experience within banking. Experience in Chinese banks is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of HKMA, SFC, and other relevant banking regulations, rules, and regulatory guidance.
• Hands-on experience liaising with regulatory authorities and managing regulatory inspections, enquiries, or examinations.
• Excellent organisational, prioritisation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple business functions.
• Strong communication skills with proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese, including Cantonese and Mandarin.
