Job Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the company’s overall finance function, acting as the key finance owner responsible for financial reporting, regulatory reporting, financial controls, and finance-related governance matters.

• Review the design, preparation, and refinement of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to ensure accuracy, completeness, and alignment with regulatory standards, accounting requirements, and business needs.

• Review and oversee regulatory reporting processes, with a strong focus on FRR (Financial Resources Rules) returns to the Hong Kong SFC, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and full compliance with applicable SFC guidelines and requirements.

• Review management reports prepared for monthly, quarterly, and annual business reviews, including analysis of financial performance, cost control, profitability, and key business drivers, to support executive decision-making.

• Provide finance leadership and guidance to internal teams, including compliance, operations, risk, product, and other business functions, to ensure financial processes are properly aligned with business objectives and regulatory requirements.

• Review and enhance internal financial controls, identify potential risks, and oversee the implementation of corrective actions to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial data.

• Act as the primary finance liaison with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities on financial matters, audits, regulatory filings, and finance-related inquiries.

• Monitor changes in SFC regulations, financial reporting standards, including HKFRS, and relevant industry practices, and assess their impact on the company’s financial reporting and regulatory obligations.

• Provide strategic input to senior management on finance-related matters, including budgeting, financial planning, cost management, regulatory capital, and operational efficiency.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; professional qualifications such as CPA, ACCA, or equivalent are highly preferred.

• Minimum 5 years of progressive financial management, financial reporting, and regulatory reporting experience in Hong Kong SFC-licensed corporations or regulated financial services firms, such as securities brokerage, asset management, or related businesses.

• Prior experience acting as a finance lead, finance manager, responsible officer for finance matters, or key finance contact within a regulated financial institution is highly preferred.

• Strong technical knowledge of financial reporting, regulatory reporting, especially FRR, financial controls, and financial system management, with the ability to review reporting frameworks, assess reporting processes, and validate report accuracy.

• Solid understanding of SFC regulatory requirements, HKFRS, audit processes, tax matters, and finance governance expectations applicable to licensed corporations in Hong Kong.

• Strong leadership, ownership, and review capabilities, with the ability to guide finance team members or external service providers while maintaining accountability for overall finance deliverables.

• Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and ensure timely completion of key reporting and regulatory deadlines.

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and engage professionally with external auditors, regulators, tax advisors, and other professional parties.

• Fluency in English and Cantonese; proficiency in Mandarin is an advantage.

• Advanced proficiency in financial software, such as Yonyou, and Microsoft Office, especially Excel for financial analysis, data review, modeling, and report automation.
