An international asset management house is looking for high calibers to join as Head of Investment Operations, APAC. The position is based in Hong Kong.

Our client is an international asset management house with an unparalleled reputation across the Asia Pacific region. With the continued growth of the organization, the need has arisen to recruit high calibers to join them.

Responsible for supporting the investments and global trading teams in all aspects of Operational support. Managing  Investment Operations functions performed in house and overseeing certain functions performed by our outsource provider, the combination of which includes Trade Support, Security Reference Data Management, Security Valuation, Derivatives and Collateral Management, Corporate Actions, Investment Liaison, Portfolio Accounting, and Performance.  Working with the respective process managers ensuring Investments and Global Trading requirements are clearly understood and met. Works closely with Investment Operations regional managers to maintain and consistently improve business processes. Develop the strategic operating model for Investment Operations in Asia Pacific. An intimate understanding of the Investment Operations requirements by country. Actively manage the existing and pending book of business as the Investment Operations organization delivers new business capabilities and implements enhancements. Optimize existing processes and infrastructure, look for constant process improvement in Investment Operations in order to ensure the needs of the Investments division are being met. Rationalize existing processes in order to minimize risk and ensure SLAs can be met.  Maintain an in-depth understanding of all of the Investment Operations processes supporting the business in Asia Pacific including the processes that may be outside of their immediate control. Oversee day to day operations. Establish governance processes and procedures to ensure accuracy and manage the manual nature of the requests. They will need to monitor monthly SLAs and service providers to ensure we are meeting the client’s needs.

To be considered, you should be a Degree holder with a minimum of 15 years relevant  experience in financial industry. Strategic thinker who has solid experience creating and implementing complex strategies and business plans. Strong business communication skills able to operate at multiple levels including executive level. Experience with large change efforts with a proven history of successful execution and process improvement including those with complex technical components
