As part of their continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Fraud Risk Manager to strengthen their fraud risk framework, enhance fraud prevention controls, and safeguard their customers and payment ecosystem.
Your new role
- Develop and maintain the organisation's fraud risk management framework, policies, and procedures.
- Design and implement fraud prevention strategies to detect, prevent, and mitigate emerging fraud threats.
- Oversee real-time fraud transaction monitoring activities and ensure timely investigation and resolution of suspicious transactions.
- Lead fraud risk assessments across products, payment flows, customer onboarding processes, and operational activities.
- Analyse fraud trends, typologies, and emerging threats to recommend effective control enhancements.
- Establish and optimise fraud detection rules, scenarios, and monitoring systems to improve fraud detection effectiveness while minimising false positives.
- Conduct root cause analysis of fraud incidents and implement preventive measures to reduce future occurrences.
- Partner closely with Product, Operations, Compliance, AML, Engineering, and Business teams to strengthen fraud controls throughout the customer life cycle.
- Support investigations involving account takeover, payment fraud, identity fraud, merchant fraud, and other financial crime risks.
- Prepare fraud risk reports, management information, and key risk indicators for senior management.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and industry best practices relating to fraud risk management and payment security.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives through data analytics, automation, and technology enhancements.
What you'll need to succeed
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Risk Management, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
Minimum 5-8 years of fraud risk experience. Prior experience within FinTech, Virtual Asset Trading Platforms (VATP), Payment Service Providers, Digital Wallets, or Banking is highly preferred.- Strong knowledge of payment fraud typologies, card fraud, account takeover, identity fraud, merchant fraud, and transaction monitoring controls.
- Hands-on experience with fraud monitoring tools, fraud detection systems, and rule management frameworks.
- Strong analytical and data-driven mindset with the ability to identify trends and recommend practical solutions.
- Experience conducting fraud investigations and managing fraud incident response processes.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
- Fluent in English is a must.
