We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager, Data Governance, to lead and strengthen enterprise-wide data governance initiatives across the organisation. This role will drive the development of governance frameworks, data quality standards, metadata management, and regulatory compliance programmes to support the bank's strategic data transformation agenda.
The successful candidate will work closely with business, technology, risk, compliance, and data stakeholders to establish effective governance practices, enhance data management capabilities, and ensure data remains a trusted asset across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation and continuous enhancement of the bank's Data Governance Framework, policies, standards, and operating model.
- Establish and maintain data ownership, stewardship, accountability, and governance processes across business units.
- Drive enterprise data quality initiatives, including data quality controls, monitoring, issue management, and remediation programmes.
- Partner with business stakeholders to define critical data elements, business glossaries, data lineage, and metadata standards.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and industry best practices related to data management and governance.
- Collaborate with Risk, Compliance, Audit, Technology, and Business teams to identify and mitigate data-related risks.
- Lead governance forums, working groups, and stakeholder engagement activities to drive governance adoption across the organisation.
- Support data transformation, digital banking, analytics, AI, and regulatory reporting initiatives through robust governance practices.
- Develop governance metrics, dashboards, and management reporting to measure programme effectiveness.
- Manage governance-related projects and contribute to enterprise-wide data strategy initiatives.
- Degree holder in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business Administration, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in data governance, data management, data quality, regulatory reporting, risk management, or related functions within the banking or financial services industry.
- Solid understanding of data governance frameworks, data quality management, metadata management, data lineage, and master data management concepts.
- Experience working with enterprise data platforms, data warehouses, data lakes, or cloud-based data environments.
- Strong knowledge of banking regulations and data-related regulatory requirements.
- Proven experience engaging with senior business stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
- Strong project management and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced and highly regulated environment.
