We are currently partnering with a leading European corporate finance advisory firm looking to add an Associate to its growing Munich team.

The firm operates within the mid-market, advising entrepreneurs, corporates, shareholders and financial investors on domestic and cross-border M&A transactions. The team offers a highly entrepreneurial environment where junior bankers are given meaningful responsibility throughout the transaction lifecycle and significant exposure to senior colleagues and clients.

As an Associate, you will play a key role across the execution of M&A transactions, while working closely with senior bankers on pitches, origination initiatives and client coverage.

Responsibilities will include:

• Supporting and managing M&A transactions from initial preparation through to signing and closing
• Preparing financial models, company valuations and transaction analyses
• Conducting detailed company, sector and market research
• Preparing high-quality pitch books, information memoranda, management presentations and other transaction materials
• Coordinating due diligence processes and engaging with clients, investors and external advisers
• Supporting buyer identification and outreach across strategic and financial investors
• Working directly with senior bankers and clients throughout live transaction processes
• Taking increasing responsibility for individual workstreams and transaction management
• Supporting Associates, Analysts and interns across execution and financial analysis
• Contributing to business development initiatives and the identification of potential transaction opportunities
• Collaborating with colleagues internationally on cross-border mandates

We are looking for candidates with approximately 3 to 5 years of relevant M&A or investment banking experience who are ready to take the next step in their career.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

• Strong experience within M&A, investment banking, corporate finance or a comparable advisory environment
• Experience working across live sell-side and/or buy-side M&A transactions
• Strong financial modelling, valuation and analytical capabilities
• A solid understanding of the full M&A transaction process
• Experience producing transaction and marketing materials to a high standard
• Confidence working directly with clients, investors and other advisers
• The ability to take ownership of individual transaction workstreams
• Strong attention to detail combined with a commercial mindset
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Professional fluency in German and English
• A collaborative and entrepreneurial approach to working within a lean deal team
