Our client is a private equity-backed metal and rock event organiser and one of the largest operators in the live music industry. The company hosts more than 50 large-scale events across Europe every year. The firm is now looking to hire a CFO / COO to join their ambitious team. In this position, you will be working closely with the management team and develop a business plan on a strategic, financial and operational level. The position is based in the Hamburg area, Germany.
RESPONSIBILITIES: - In close cooperation with the management and private equity investor, develop a three year plan for the business on a strategic, financial and operational level
- Establish financial and operational KPIs
- Oversee business operation strategy and its implementation
- Introduce new business processes, reporting procedures and controls and continuously improve and optimise existing structures and processes
- Evaluate business support functions, such as operations, finance, IT, administration and legal, and identify shortcomings and implement improvements
- Evaluate legal and reporting structures and optimise visibility of commercial and financial results and key metrics for core activities
- Drive the firm's financial planning and analysis, accounting and reporting function and supervise controlling, accounting and back-office staff (including HR)
- Oversee budgeting taking into account operational aspects, including KPIs
- Ensure precise and punctual reporting and reforecasting processes
- Manage the standardisation of governance and key processes to support improved scalability, measurability and predictability
- Ensure that all financial laws and requirements are met
- Supervise the legal counsel
- Act as a catalyst for change and growth internally
- Develop and implement a thorough and objective management assessment process for employees
YOUR PROFILE: - University degree in Business Administration, Finance or related disciplines
- Significant professional experience as a CFO / COO in a dynamic business
- Previous experience as a "change agent", managing change in operational strategy and process management
- You have experience in developing strategies resulting in significant growth
- Strong track record in a strongly growing environment, both organically and through M&A-activity
- Experience in the media or entertainment sector is an advantage
- You have excellent leadership skills and are able to communicate effectively
- Analytical and strategic thinker with an eye for detail
- You are motivated, hands-on with a "can do"-attitude
- Fluency in German and English is required
