Your new role
An opportunity exists for an experienced Service Management Specialist / IT Change Manager to join the Service Integration & Operations team based in Barangaroo.In this highly visible role, you will take ownership of the organisation's IT Change Management practice, ensuring technology changes are assessed, governed, approved, and implemented in a controlled and risk-aware manner. Working closely with infrastructure, cloud, application, project delivery, and operational teams, you will facilitate Change Advisory Board (CAB) forums, challenge and assess technology risks, oversee governance processes, and drive continuous improvement across the change management function.
You will act as a trusted advisor to both technical and business stakeholders, balancing business priorities with operational stability while ensuring compliance with established policies, controls, and service management frameworks. The role will also play a key part in the organisation's evolving ServiceNow change management capability as new processes and systems are implemented.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Demonstrated experience in IT Change Management, Change Enablement, IT Service Management, or Operational Governance.
• Experience leading or facilitating Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings and managing change governance processes.
• Strong knowledge of ITIL v4 principles and service management best practices.
• A solid technical understanding of infrastructure, networks, cloud environments, applications, and enterprise technology services.
• The ability to assess and challenge technical risks, ask insightful questions, and confidently engage with technical SMEs and senior stakeholders.
• Experience working with governance frameworks, operational controls, risk management, compliance, and audit requirements.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence outcomes and hold teams accountable to agreed processes and policies.
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with confidence presenting in forums and engaging with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience using Jira, Confluence, and ideally ServiceNow or similar ITSM platforms.
• Exposure to banking, financial services, insurance, or other highly regulated environments will be highly regarded.
• ITIL v4 Foundation certification is required.
