Senior Payroll Officer in Mascot | SAP SuccessFactors essential | 12m FTC Your new company

You will join a collaborative People and Communications function that supports the broader business across its people strategy and HR operations Your new role
Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will join a small team to process for a medium-sized business on a 12-month contract.Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing, processing and validating fortnightly and monthly payrolls, including timesheets, adjustments, terminations and redundancies
• Processing complex payroll transactions, including parental leave, superannuation, leave reconciliations and payroll adjustments
• Interpreting and applying relevant legislation, Enterprise Agreements and internal policies
• Maintaining accurate payroll and HRIS data, employee records and reporting
• Investigating payroll discrepancies and resolving escalated employee queries
• Preparing payroll reconciliations and reports for management, Finance, audits, regulatory requirements and year-end processing
• Supporting payroll audits, compliance reviews and payroll controls
• Liaising with People, Finance, Technology, external providers and payroll vendors
• Supporting payroll and HRIS testing, system upgrades and configuration changes
• Identifying opportunities to improve payroll accuracy, efficiency and the employee experience

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this position, you will have strong end-to-end payroll experience within a complex environment. Hands-on experience using SAP SuccessFactors is essential for this role.You will also bring:

• Sound knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, taxation and superannuation
• Experience interpreting Enterprise Agreements and Awards
• Strong payroll reconciliation, reporting and problem-solving skills
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and confidentiality
• The ability to manage competing priorities and meet strict payroll deadlines
• Strong stakeholder management, communication and customer service skills
• A collaborative, adaptable and continuous improvement-focused
