Your new role
We are seeking a Technical Business Analyst to join a collaborative Agile delivery team responsible for delivering integration and digital technology initiatives across a complex enterprise environment. You will act as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating requirements into actionable outcomes and ensuring successful delivery of API, data and system integration solutions. Key responsibilities will include:
- Analysing and documenting business, functional and integration requirements.
- Producing API mappings, data flows, interface contracts, sequence diagrams and other technical documentation.
- Translating requirements into user stories, epics and delivery-ready backlog items.
- Working closely with developers, architects, testers and project managers throughout the delivery life cycle.
- Validating APIs and integration behaviours using Postman and supporting testing activities.
- Using SQL to investigate, analyse and validate data across multiple systems.
- Identifying risks, dependencies and opportunities for continuous improvement
- Proven experience as a Technical Business Analyst within a complex enterprise environment.
- Strong experience working on system integration, API and data-focused projects.
- Knowledge of REST and SOAP APIs and experience using Postman or similar tools.
- Strong SQL skills with the ability to query, analyse and validate data independently.
- Experience creating detailed technical documentation, user stories, process flows and data mappings.
- Experience working within Agile, Scrum or DevOps delivery environments.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical audiences.
- Experience with Azure, AWS, Jira and Confluence will be highly regarded.
- Previous experience within higher education or another large, complex organisation is advantageous.
