Software Development InternAmazon Web Services (AWS), the largest consumer cloud offering in the world, is kicking off the Summer holidays in a big way - with its first ever Australian Software Development Internship program!
AWS is the world leader in providing a highly reliable, scalable, low-cost infrastructure platform in the cloud that powers hundreds of thousands of businesses around the world! This is your opportunity to work directly on the platform that impacts millions of users worldwide, all from the comfort of our Sydney offices.
Our development teams in Sydney offer a range of internship opportunities - the Networking teams build the software that manages AWS's vast global network while the Technical Operations team build automated event mitigation software that monitors all of AWS and automatically handles any customer impacting events.
As an SDE intern you'll integrate into our existing dev teams and write real code, for a real project that will ship to production by the end of your internship. You'll have direct ownership of a feature, driving its direction, design, implementation, testing and deployment to production. Working with your mentor from the team and a select group of experienced developers you'll have direct impact on the future direction of our products while getting a true feel for what it's like to be a developer at Amazon.
AWS offers a unique work environment where you'll be able to work in a hugely distributed environment that has significant impact on the global computing industry. We're looking for developers with a passion for working on and solving challenging problems at a massive scale, learning on the go and working with others to achieve your goals. You'll be comfortable exploring various design and implementation options, presenting your chosen one and working with different programming languages and paradigms to implement it. At Amazon, the impact you have on the world is limited only by the passion you put into your ideas!
